大家看這兩個石頭，請看這邊“海判南天”，這是天涯海角里面最早的一個石刻。在康熙年間，為了修訂歷法，康熙皇帝名欽差，在進行天文測量的時候所留下的標記。大家看，這里是“南天一柱”，這幾個字就是宣正元年崖州知州范云梯為防止水患所題。大家是否覺得這里的風景很熟悉呢?對了，這就是第四套人民幣2元背面的圖案。可以說它早已深入在了我們日常生活的每一天，足見它在中國的影響力。清代雍正年間崖州知州程哲和民國時期王毅將軍，又在這里兩塊相依相鄰的海邊巨石上，題刻了“天涯”與“海角”四個大字。使人們的“天涯情結”最終得以物化，并找到寄托，也使天涯海角游覽區成為“天涯文化情結”的地理落腳點和特定載體。

上世紀60年代，著名大文豪郭沫若，三次來到天涯海角景區，留下了“天涯海角游覽區”的字跡。到了天涯海角，一定要給自己的家人、親朋好友、情人打個電話。告訴他們，我在天涯海角還在惦念著你，送你一顆水晶一樣的心。最后，帶上天涯海角的祝福“海內存知己，天涯若比鄰”。
